Surface Prep — Pine
- 1End grain absorbs adhesive heavily — apply two thin coats with a 2-minute wait between to prevent a starved joint.
- 2Sand face grain to 120-grit. Do not use 220-grit or finer as it seals the fibers.
- 3Pine resin pockets can prevent bonding — route them out or seal with shellac before gluing.
- 4Keep boards in the work space for 24 hours before gluing so moisture content stabilises.
Safety Warnings
Cold-temperature chalking risk: Below 10°C (50°F) this adhesive may dry powdery with near-zero strength.
