Surface Prep — Natural Stone
- 1Non-porous stones (granite, basalt) need mechanical abrasion — sand with 60-grit before bonding.
- 2Porous stones (limestone, sandstone) absorb adhesive — prime with a stone consolidant first.
- 3Marble is sensitive to acid — use only pH-neutral cleaners, never acid-based products.
- 4Slate delaminates along its cleavage planes — mechanical fasteners alongside adhesive are recommended.
